When I try to edit text the font gets switched out, how do I fix this?

Fonts sometimes get replaced or are blank within PDF Pro 10 because the font used in the PDF document is not recognized within the software. This sometimes happens when a PDF file uses a different name attribute for a font than in PDF Pro 10. The easiest way to edit the text in this case would be to replace the font within the PDF document with one available within PDF Pro 10:

  • Click on the "Insert & Edit" tab, and press the Text button.
  • Click on the text and select all of it. The options in the ribbon will change.
  • Use the font drop down to change the font.
